JAMES NEGRONI
DIFFICULTY
EASY
WHAT'S IN IT
0.75 oz London Drizzle Gin
0.75 oz ml Vermouth
0.5 oz Campari
0.2 oz Cherry Syrup
HOW IT'S MADE
- Add gin, vermouth, Campari and cherry syrup to an ice-filled mixing glass.
- Stir until well chilled.
- Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
- Garnish with an orange slice and a fresh cherry.
WHAT IT'S LIKE
This is like a Negroni, only much better, obviously, because it's based on James Gin. We could talk about it providing 'the structural backbone that ties the ingredients together', but that would be a) BS and b) wasting your time when you could be trying it for yourself.
JAMES' TASTING NOTES
A classic Negroni with a bit more going on. London Drizzle brings earthiness to the usually bitter-sweet mix of Campari and vermouth. The cherry adds some sweetness without turning it into a fruit cocktail, which is a drink for children.
PERFECT WITH...

London Drizzle
Gin is traditionally called London Dry - but I live there and usually it isn’t. So I wanted to make a gin that would invoke that unique petrichor smell that comes from light rain hitting the pavement on a warm day. I’ve never met anybody who doesn’t like that smell.
