WHAT'S IN IT
2 oz California Dreamgin' Gin
0.75 oz Olive Brine
0.5 Cocchi Savoy Dry Vermouth
Olives to garnish
HOW IT'S MADE
- Add the Gin, Vermouth and Olive Brine into a mixing glass.
- Add ice into the mixing glass and stir until the mixing glass begins to sweat.
- Stir slowly for 20 seconds.
- Using a cocktail strainer, pour your Martini into your chilled glass.
- To garnish add olives.
WHAT IT'S LIKE
Savoury, in a word. The brine from the olives adds saltiness and savouriness to the light fruity and peppery notes of the girolle mushrooms in the gin.
JAMES' TASTING NOTES
'Mama' Cass Elliot co-wrote California Dreamin' after which our gin is named. She said her vocal range was improved by three notes after she was hit on the head by some copper tubing. This cocktail may have done the same, less painfully.
